ABOUT ME

BD Nelson is a down to earth Oregonian, married to the love of her life, loves to camp, fish, garden, and go on nature walks. She loves children, dogs and hanging out with her friends. Nothing out of the ordinary until it comes to her writing.

Writing has been her passion from childhood. The choice of mystery/suspense being BD Nelson's preferred genre, both in reading and writing. Whether she's snuggled up next to her hubby watching a movie, cuddled up on the couch with a good book, or having lunch with her best friend, BD Nelson's mind churns out scenes for a new story.

Born in Eugene Oregon, BD Nelson has spent most of her life in the Northwest. Her third grade teacher encouraged her to continue writing and although her life took a different path, she never forgot the words of encouragement, or the story she'd written. She majored in Accounting while working full time doing bookkeeping and tax preparation, and waiting tables, while raising her two children, but continued to write in her "spare time." BD Nelson is a member of The Willamette Writers of Portland, Oregon and has written several short stories; APARTMENT 304 and ONE FOR SHOW-TWO FOR THE MONEY, are two that have been published in THIRTY FABULOUS STORIES: AN ANTHOLOGY, edited by Larry Parr. BD Nelson has also written a chidren's book: MR. TOOL'S FARM, which was used as a christian teaching tool for children begining in 1991.
